A Water Heater With Many Uses

A portable water heater has so many uses especially if you are camping and need near instant hot water for cooking, washing up or showering. There are many different types available meaning that you do not necessarily have to rough it even though you are enjoying the great outdoors. The creature comforts of home can be yours despite the fact that you may be in cold surroundings with basic provisions.
The two main types of portable water heater are electric or gas, namely propane and probably tankless. There are also solar versions available although this would depend on you being in an area that received enough sunlight and daylight hours.

They work by connecting to whatever outlet you require such as a shower head or faucet and a source of water. They pass the cold water over a heating element which rapidly and safely heats the water to your desired temperature often in as little as five seconds.

Popular manufacturers include Coleman who offer a 5 gallon on demand water heater which can heat 40 gallons of water on one propane bottle and has a rechargeable battery to power the pump.

Another good manufacturer is EccoTemp which has a tankless propane powered model which is very energy efficient. This can be useful for boats, washing pets outside or used hanging from your RV ladder. It includes a shower head and can be adapted to your garden hose.

Most portable water heaters will come with a one year manufacturer's warranty and extensive documentation. Make sure that you read the instructions carefully before the first use so that you are familar with the safety features and how to operate it.

Once you try a portable hot water heater you will wonder how you managed without one before. You can use it to do the dishes before picking it up and moving it around so someone can take a shower. They truly are portable being so lightweight. As long as you take care to operate it according to the manufacturer's instructions you should have no problems.
